Ways to Support the Initiative
Supporting the Kererwe Education Scholarship Initiative (KESI) is a meaningful way to transform lives through education. Your contribution directly empowers underprivileged learners to access quality education and realize their potential.
You can get involved by making Individual donations to the fund—either as a one-off gift or through regular monthly, termly, or annual contributions. Groups or Associations, such as alumni or community organizations, can also make collective contributions to expand the impact of the initiative.
Additionally, you may choose to Sponsor a child through a full level of education—whether Primary, O’level, A’level, or Tertiary—ensuring consistent support for their academic journey and future success. Every donation, big or small, helps shape a brighter, more equitable future for Uganda’s youth.

KESI’s 2025 Roadmap: Empowering Education and Transforming Lives
The year 2025 marks an exciting milestone for the Kererwe Education Scholarship Initiative (KESI) as it officially rolls out its first full year of activities. Since its inception, KESI has worked tirelessly to mobilize resources and partnerships to make education more accessible for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The funds raised so far will help us bring our vision to life and make a tangible difference in the communities we serve.
One of our key goals for 2025 is to offer scholarships to more than ten deserving learners across five districts in the Greater Bushenyi region. This support will help students who have the potential but face financial barriers to achieving their dreams. A special focus will be placed on empowering the girl child—half of the scholarships will be dedicated to girls to promote gender equality and ensure more young women complete their education.
To strengthen the learning environment, KESI will collaborate with ten schools and five local government administrations. These partnerships aim to improve access to quality learning resources, enhance retention, and support schools in creating inclusive spaces where every learner can thrive.
Beyond financial support, KESI believes in nurturing holistic development. That’s why we plan to organize three mentorship and skills-building workshops throughout the year. These sessions will connect students with role models and professionals who can inspire them, build their confidence, and equip them with essential life and career skills to succeed beyond the classroom.
